I keep adding to my spain blog (semester,1988), & found this about Elsa. Ironically, I knew almost nothing about her personal life prior to finding this web page . I didn't know she was originally from cuba (even knew fidel castro in college!) ...nor that she had taught for SO LONG at calvin..she also personally helped me during my difficult medical issue (20 stitches in my lip & to this day I still don't know what happened!). She's retired in Miami now. I recently sent her a cd copy of my spain slideshow.
