I knew she was from a Spanish speaking country but didn't know this little tidbit - wow : "Cortina received a doctorate in education in 1951 from the University of Havana. I sent her pictures from our semester in spain a few years ago to her address in Miami. She was also in charge of the program when my 2 brothers went to Spain .
